Islander Sweepstakes Official Rules

1. TO ENTER: There is NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. You must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of any of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. To participate log on to www.islandersweepstakes.com and access the entry form. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the required participant information. One winner will be drawn at random to receive a weekend getaway for two to Maine’s Vinalhaven Island, including airfare, 2 nights at Payne Homestead B&B and an island kayak tour from Sea Escape Kayaks.

2. WINNER SELECTION: Selection of a winner will be made at random at 1223 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA, on May 1, 2007 at 12:00 noon. The prize must be claimed by May 31, 2007. The odds of winning will be determined by the total number of eligible entries received. Winner will be notified by telephone and/or by email. All prizes will be awarded. Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and not redeemable for cash, credit or merchandise. If any prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Payne Homestead or Sea Escape Kayaks reserve the right to substitute a prize of comparable value. Entrants agree Sternman Productions LLC has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from this promotion and that a decision by Sternman Productions LLC is final and binding. Winner and travel companion, by acceptance of the prize, agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless Payne Homestead, Sea Escape Kayaks, Sternman Productions, LLC. , National Fisherman, Seafood Business, The Boston International Seafood Show, DocWorkers, participating destinations and other participating partners in the promotion, and each of their employees, representatives, contractors, sponsors and advertisers, from any and all liability, injuries, loss, damage, costs or claims related to any allegation regarding the award of, the receipt of, or the use of their prize. Payne Homestead, Sea Escape Kayaks, Sternman Productions, LLC, Inc., National Fisherman, Seafood Business, The Boston International Seafood Show, DocWorkers, participating destinations and other participating partners in the promotion are not responsible for personal injury of any prize winner or travel companion incurred in connection with the use of the prize. Winner assumes all applicable tax liability for his or her prize.

Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use the winner’s and travel companion’s names, voices, pictures, likenesses, and city and state of residences and any information provided on the application form (with the exception of physical address and phone number) for purposes of trade, publicity or promotion without further compensation (except where prohibited) in any medium of communication, including print, Internet, radio and/or television for any purpose, including advertising, promotional or other purposes, by Sternman Productions LLC, Payne Homestead or Sea Escape Kayaks, their affiliates, partners and sponsors, without additional compensation.

A potential winner may be requested to provide the sponsors with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the entry will be deemed ineligible. The winner may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Releases that must be returned within 14 days of attempted notification or an alternate winner may be chosen.

3. PRIZES: The sweepstakes period runs from Feb 1, 2007 through April 30, 2007. Sweepstakes prize is as follows:

2 nights stay, double occupancy, at Payne homestead, Vinalhaven, ME, or $200 gift certificate for future stay.
Island sea kayak tour from Sea Escape Kayaks, Vinalhaven, ME
Airfare for two from any of the 48 continental United States to Portland, ME
Ground and ferry transportation to and from Vinalhaven Island

The trip must be taken on dates specified by Sternman Productions, LLC or prize will be forfeited. If the prize winner does not have the opportunity to go on the trip due to scheduling conflicts, cancellations, postponement, an event of force majeure, or for any other reason, then no other or additional compensation will be awarded. Blackout dates and other restrictions may apply. The winner's travel companion must be 18 years of age or older, or if any companion is a minor, the winner must be such minor's parent or legal guardian and each such companion (or such minor companion's parent or legal guardian) must sign and return a liability/publicity release prior to ticketing of prize. Winner and his or her travel companion must travel on the same itinerary and possess all required travel documents and identification (including, without limitation, visas and a valid passport, if applicable).

4. ELIGIBILITY: Only one entry per person. Sweepstakes are open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older. The sweepstakes are void where prohibited by law or restricted. The sweepstakes are not open to employees or immediate family members of Sternman Productions, LLC, Inc., Payne Homestead or Sea Escape Kayaks, participating destinations and other participating partners in the promotion.

5. DISCLAIMERS: Payne Homestead, Sea Escape Kayaks, Sternman Productions, LLC, Inc., participating destinations and partners are not responsible for errors in printing or electronic presentation of the Sweepstakes. If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned on any web site, including infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of any of the foregoing entities which corrupt and affect the administration, secrecy, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sternman Productions LLC further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Sweepstakes. Entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incorrect, garbled, or incompletely received, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatibility of any servers or elsewhere, will not be eligible. Sternman Productions LLC, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the web site. Use of bots or other automated process to enter is prohibited and may result in disqualification at the sole discretion of Sternman Productions LLC. In the event of a dispute regarding on-line entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized holder of the e-mail account submitted at the time of entry. Authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by the Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization that is responsible for arranging e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
